Welcome
Welcome to my blog, a brief insight into the innerworkings of my mind. Every two weeks, a snippet of my life and my stories will be revealed and updates to my writings will be posted.
Can't Control
I'm thrilled to introduce to you my latest creation, and even though this book was published in October last year, I didn't have an author blog at the time. My debut novel, Can't Control will toss you through a rollercoaster of emotions, set in a city where the line between right and wrong is blurred and you'll be asking yourself why certain events matter. Give into the climax and the puzzle pieces will be placed.
Delaney is a woman who has fought hard to heal from her past trauma. Her journey of recovery takes an unexpected turn when four gentlemen are dropped in her lap, and she is given a chance to build relationships where loyalty and trust are built in a dark secret.
Alexius, Trennen, Vestar, and Kellan have been contract killers for years, bound by a brotherhood that nothing can disrupt—except for Delaney, the new bartender at their regular haunt.
As Delaney navigates her new life, she becomes entangled in a web of intrigue and desire. The chemistry between her and two of the men, Trennen and Alexius, ignites a dormant passion within her heart. But their dangerous profession and Delaney’s past threaten to unravel the happiness they’ve found.
Whether you’re looking for an escape from your reality or seeking to understand the depths of the human mind, maybe you wonder why some people turn out the way they do, this book promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Book Recommendations
As a first opportunity to introduce you to a book series that captured me from the start, I'd like to recommend the Filthy Wicked Psychos series by Eva Ashwood. Book one is Twisted Game, as pictured in the image for this blog post.
Willow finds herself tangled in an unexpected and initially unwanted web between three brothers: Malice, Victor, and Ransom Voronin. Throughout the series, Willow learns about the brothers and their differences, as well as learns about herself. This series is a dark romance, and its tropes include why choose, reverse harem, found family, virgin FMC, stalker, and enemies-to-lovers.
I'd like to relate this book to my own as well. Can't Control had already been completed by the time I read this series, but the similarities between the Voronin brothers and the MMCs from Can't Control make this book series my favorite dark romance of all time.
My Current Read
I typically read more than one book at a time, as I'm somewhat of a mood reader. Reading two or three books at a time allows me to choose which one I want to read on any given day.
I've got three current reads right now, but I won't be giving updates on my feelings towards them until after I'm finished with each book.
Lights Out by Navessa Allen is a dark romance with stalker vibes, and it's described as a rom-com.
Love, Again by April D Berry is a fluffy romance set in a small town where a celebrity and your average FMC fall in love.
And I'm rereading Savage Hearts by Eva Ashwood for probably the fourth time. It's the fourth and last book in the Filthy Wicked Psychos series. Anytime I feel like I'm in a book slump, all I have to do is reread a favorite book and I'm reminded of how much I love reading.
Recent Finds Unrelated to Reading
I've recently used the website Preceden for my timeline of events in my upcoming collection. The events that take place in the collection effect events that take place in other books, and I'm very excited to be able to publish this collection.
The original idea for this book collection came from one song by Motionless in White, my favorite modern heavy metal band. But I won't be revealing the song until most of the collection has been published.
If any of you are fans of Motionless in White, it won't take past book two to figure out which song inspired this collection.
Recent TV Shows & Movies
A new season of Homicide Hunter: Amercian Detective dropped a few weeks ago, and I had no idea they were filming a fourth season. It's been almost two years since season three, so this new season was a perfect surprise.
If you follow me on any other social media, you might be familiar with my mild obsession with Barely Sociable on YouTube. I have rewatched almost every video of his multiple times over, and most recently, I rewatched his episode called The Pemberton Incident. Highly recommended channel for anyone into unsolved true crime and internet mysteries.
